St. Jude Thank You Night is back this year at Cunningham’s Downtown Kearney on March 25th. This year the night will start with acoustic music from Cornhusker Country artists Luke Mills and Tim Zach. Then the husband and wife duo of Thompson Square will take the stage.
They are known for #1 hits like “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You”. They have had multi-platinum international success, and honors as Vocal Duo of the Year from both the ACM and CMA Awards. They met while competing against one another in a local singing competition; and have been married for 22 years.
Kiefer and Shawna Thompson’s first hit was Grammy-nominated, double-platinum breakout “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” and they then continued to release Country-radio favorites like the devoted “I Got You” (Top 10 in 2011) and the flirty “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About” (Top 5 in 2013).
They have since released an album independently, written a children’s book; “Time to get dressed”, Keifer has been doing stand up comedy, and you can catch them on their Podcast, “Talking with Thompson Square”
