The State Fair, which runs from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7, will be “a celebration of Nebraska 4-H and FFA youth,” The 4-H events will take place this first weekend, with FFA next weekend. Ten food vendors and 20 commercial vendors will be on hand.. There will be no concerts inside the Heartland Events Center, but there will be shows outdoors in the evenings. After years without one, Ravenna will once again have a full-service grocery store. Veronica and Jamie Morse, owners of MNO Hometown Market and Catering in Wood River, have bought the former Ravenna Super Foods building. The Morses announced the news Friday.
