The Big East Conference, which includes Creighton, has announced it has postponed fall sports with hopes to play in the the spring.

The NCAA has announced it will extend the recruiting dead period until September 30th.  The NCAA is also putting into place eligibility adjustments to protect players losing time during the coronavirus pandemic.

TODAY: The Puppy Plunge hosted by the Kearney Park and Recreation is today at Centennial Pool. Registration is accepted at the Kearney Park & Recreation office at 2005 1st Ave. or call 237-4644.

The Omaha City Council voted 7-0 to approve an emergency mask mandate for the City of Omaha. Beginning immediately, anyone over the age of five will be required to wear a face mask in public spaces where they can not maintain proper social distancing. Masks will be required in public spaces until September 15.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has established a free, on-campus COVID-19 testing option.  Beginning August 12, a walk-up COVID-19 testing site will be located in the 17th and R  parking garage, behind the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Police Station. The site will offer free testing to students, faculty and staff and will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays.
