Here they are - The five songs I've been obsessing over this week.  Enjoy!

Number 5: "Highway Don't Care" -Tim McGraw with Taylor Swift.  If you've listened to Tim's latest album, "Two Lanes of Freedom" you'll noticed that this is the final track.  Clearly, he saved the best for last.  I gotta say, I'm a fan of Tim and have been for the majority of my life but let's get real.  He's released some doozies lately and has somewhat hopped on the the Crap Country Wagon.  With this single, he's back in my good graces.  Not only does he play a version of Tim in my dreams in the video - a gorgeous doctor who is constantly toning his muscles at home - but his collaboration choices are also to be commended.  Taylor's voice is the perfect accent to his in this vocal story and Keith Urban's fret work underneath brings the song to a perfect climax.  Tim and ballads go hand in hand.  Love this tune.

Number 4: "Runnin' Out of Moonlight" -Randy Houser.  Have I meantioned before that I'm super excited for Randy's latests resurge back into the relevant country music scene?  I have?  Oh, well allow me to mention it again.  I'm jacked for this guy.  I've always been a fan of his voice and with his new record label he's been able to find a Luke Bryan-ish niche back in country music.  A couple of weeks ago I finally downloaded his latest album (Yes, I know.  Very, very late to that party.), and I was not disappointed.  Not only did he pick some good ones to record, but he also had a hand in writing about half of the tunes on it.  Singer/songwriters always win my heart and earn extra points over those that are just singers, so I'm satisfied.  "Moonlight" is a feel good jam and the perfect follow up to "How Country Feels."  Keep up the good work, sir.

Number 3: "I Want Crazy" -Hunter Hayes.  This guy is just country's little sweetheart, isn't he?  He won me over with "Wanted" and the love just keeps flowin'.  I think what Hunter does really well is picks songs that are perfect for his personality.  He's like a younger, more realistic, male version of Taylor Swift...if you follow me on that.  When you break this song down, it's really just about jumping in to love head first and checking reality at the door which...doesn't make much sense.  You can't just forget all logic and live in this crazy, reckless romance!  It's a ridiculous idea.  Who wants crazy when you can have stable?  But, when he sings about it in his youthful, adorable fashion let's face it.  We all want crazy.

Number 2: “Crash My Party" -Luke Bryan.  If this single isn't just classic Luke Bryan, I don't know what is.  I find it crazy that he can just keep recording single after single after single and they all "sound" the same but yet, I don't get bored.  I could hook him up to a musical IV and ingest it all day.  The lyrics aren't even that deep and philosophical and I still find myself playing this one on a loop.  He can just sing a song in a way that really makes you believe what he's saying.  I mean, clearly in this song he's playing a pushover but, somehow we still love him.  He's in love, folks!  He'll do anything for this girl!  He'll ditch his friends at the bar!  He'll answer her drunk dials at 3AM!  Even if he's at the very front row of his musical idol's very last live show of his career, he'll leave immediately if she wants him to!  What a sucker.  Another number 1 for Luke, I predict.

Number 1: "Easy" -Sheryl Crow.  Just when I thought the only Sheryl Crow I was going to ever hear again would be on my iPod and burned CDs, she pulls out this country gem.  Much like Kelly Clarkson, her voice flawlessly transitions over and fits in perfectly with this genre.  She's like the rebirth of Deena Carter.  (Maybe they were separated at birth.)  Very relaxed, very mellow, very "easy" to love.  This one makes me want to open the windows, let my hair down and sway back and forth in my cheap sunglasses and bare feet with a beer in my hand.  Perfect summertime jam without all the hype.  Good stuff.
