When I heard Trisha Yearwood was releasing her first full length studio album in more than ten years I was excited. Then when I heard it was called “Let’s Be Frank” and it was a tribute album to the legendary Frank Sinatra, I was overjoyed. This album has eleven of Sinatra’s classics redone by Yearwood. Not only, did she sing them, she recorded them in the iconic Capitol Records in Hollywood with a 55 piece orchestra all while using Frank Sinatra’s microphone and the stool he sat on when he first recorded these masterpieces. On the album you’ll find such songs as “Come Fly With Me” and “Witchcraft”. Trisha’s husband Garth Brooks was not only there for every recording, he also co-wrote an original song with her that ended up on the album as well for the twelfth and final track called “For The Last Time”.
Ms. Yearwood does not disappoint; as she takes you back in time with her smooth vocals and iconic melodies. The vinyl option may even be the optimal way to enjoy this tribute.
The album “Let’s Be Frank” by Trisha Yearwood is available now only through Williams Sonoma in their stores and on their website. It will be available everywhere beginning February 14th.
